Vespa 150 VVB is a 6 HP scooter developed by Italian manufacturer Piaggio between 1960 and 1967.
Vespa is a scooter brand produced by Piaggio, an Italian motor vehicle manufacturer which in the first half of the 20th century produced trains, aircraft engines, aeroplanes, trucks, trams or buses.
After World War II, Piaggio gradually increased the sales of Vesta scooters, from almost 2,500 units in 1947 to over 60,000 in 1950, and they were produced in Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium and Spain. It became a popular brand all over Europe, where many Vespa clubs were created by fans or owners.
By 1956, one million Vesta scooters had been sold, then two million by 1960. By the 1960s, the Vespa, originally conceived as a utility vehicle, had come to symbolize freedom and imagination.
Launched in 1960, Vespa 150 VVB has a 2 stroke single cylinder with 6 HP. This new engine increased significantly the reliability of Vespas and also reduced fuel and oil consumption. A robust scooter, Vespa 150 VVB was suitable for side streets and slow roads and became a hit for many young people.
This scooter has covered 111 kilometres.
