A Rolls-Royce Phantom IV from the Tiriac Collection won at Pebble Beach

The current edition of the renowned Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California, dedicated to vintage automobiles, awarded the 1952 Rolls-Royce Phantom IV Hooper Sedanca de Ville, owned by Mr. Ion Țiriac, First Place in the "Rolls-Royce and Bentley Postwar" category, thus being recognized as the best-restored vehicle in its section. This award was accompanied by the "Lucius Beebe Trophy," given to the car the jury deemed most in line with the spirit of Lucius Beebe, one of the first members of the concours jury.

Between 1950 and 1956, only 18 Rolls-Royce Phantom IV units were produced, which could only be purchased by crowned heads or heads of state. Of these, only 16 remain today. All units of this unique model have bodies made by independent coachbuilders, with the Rolls-Royce Phantom IV Sedanca de Ville featuring a body by Hooper & Co. Ltd. Their hoods are dominated by the kneeling version of the "Spirit of Ecstasy" mascot.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom IV, which won at the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours and is part of the Tiriac Collection, was previously owned by Aga Khan III, the 48th Imam of the Nizari Ismaili community, who was also the first owner of the vehicle.
The Tiriac Collection is the only gallery that currently hosts all six models of the Phantom series I-VI.

The Tiriac Collection Gallery includes 150 iconic models from the world's most important car manufacturers. Visiting hours are from Friday to Sunday, between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Ticket prices are 15 lei for adults and 7.5 lei for students, pupils, and pensioners. Children up to 6 years old inclusively have free access.
