Full description

The 600 Mercedes debuted at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 1963, where it revealed its luxurious interior, its impressive power and its elegant design. The 600 came in two main variants, a short wheel base and a long wheel base chassis. The short could be purchased as a 4 door saloon or a 4 door saloon with a power divider window to separate the front from the rear of the car. The long wheel base chassis was the base for the four door Pullman limousine and the 6-door limousine. There were also special limousines built in landaulet style.

A special engine was developed for the 600 in the form of a 6.3L V8 with Bosch mechanical fuel injection. All 250hp were needed to propel the 3340 kg of fully loaded car.

Luxury features included a complex hydraulic system that powered everything from the widows and seats to the automatic closing doors, sun roof and boot lid. Adjustable, self-leveling, air suspension gave the car a good ride.

The Mercedes 600 has also featured in James Bond’s films, most notably as transport of the villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld in On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Diamonds Are Forever. Famous owners of the 600 included Jack Nicholson, Rowan Atkinson and Elvis Presley.

This car has 11,648 km on board.
