"THINK AS A WINNER AND ACT AS A WINNER. YOU'LL BE QUITE LIKELY TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL." - Enzo Ferrari
Enzo Anselmo Ferrari was born on February 18, 1898, in Modena, Italy. Due to a severe winter storm, his birth was officially registered two days later.
On June 17, 1923, Enzo Ferrari won the race held on the Savio circuit in Ravenna, where he met Countess Paolina, mother of Count Francesco Baracca - a highly skilled Italian fighter pilot and World War I hero, who used to paint a prancing horse on the side of his aircraft. The countess encouraged Enzo to use the horse emblem on his cars, believing it would bring him luck.
The original emblem, painted red on a white cloud, was reinterpreted by Ferrari - he chose black, in honor of the fallen pilot, and set it against a yellow background, the official color of Modena, his hometown.
In 1929, Enzo Ferrari founded Scuderia Ferrari in Modena, marking the beginning of a passionate motorsport journey that would eventually evolve into one of the most legendary racing teams in the world.
