Full description

The design of the Ferrari Monza SP2 is inspired by the barchettas from the '50s, being linked to the glorious past of the Ferrari brand. The first Ferrari to be called a "barchetta" was the open-top version of the 1948-166 MM model. Barchettas had two seats and no roof. Instead of a full windshield, they were only equipped with a small screen. Monza SP2 is designed with 2 seats and allows the right passenger to share the same driving sensations with the driver by minimally changing on the configuration: removing a cover and adding a second protection screen. Monza SP2 embodies the elegance, performance and innovation that are integrating harmoniously with Ferrari's past and present.

The development of interior design focused specifically on the driver cockpit, the interior architecture being split into three levels. The first is defined by the driver’s visual horizon, so the line between the inside and the outside of the car is very subtle. The driver's body is entirely encapsulated by the car, apart from their head which juts out over the horizon line, as in racing cars, thus reducing visual distractions of all kinds. The second level comprises the instrumentation, steering wheel and air vents. Lastly, the spare cockpit embraces, at armrest level, the rest of the commands which are clustered on a single very simple surface, completely devoid of any stylistic virtuosity. The seats are made from carbon-fiber with leather upholstery with Tiriac Collection logo stitched on the headrests, designed to guarantee maximum comfort when driving.

The Ferrari Monza SP2 is equipped with the most powerful naturally-aspirated V12 ever produced by Ferrari. The 6.5 litre engine develops 810 HP at 8,500 rpm, and 719 Nm at 7,000 rpm torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2,9 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 7,9 seconds with a top speed of 302 km/h.

Just like on racing cars, carbon-fiber has been used in the construction of the Monza SP2, to make it light, responsive and to enhance her sporty, aggressive visual appeal.

499 will be built, with the split between single-seat SP1s and dual-seat SP2 Monzas to be dictated by customer preference.
