Full description

CLK stands for „Coupe Leicht Kompakt” which means coupe, light and compact. First generation was launched in 1996.

The DTM is a special edition street car of Mercedes’s full race car built for the German DTM racing series (Deutche Tourenwagen Masters). The sportiest manner to travel with a CLK captivates with its striking optic: an enormous air intake, pronounced side rocker panels, lower back panel, wide profile tires on alloy wheels all underline the claim to be leader of its class.

Chief designer Peter Pfieffer, also drew a line along the waistband of the CLK, emphasized by the hollow beneath which runs out into the front wing.

Only 100 coupes and 80 convertibles were produced. These cars were equipped with AMGs supercharged 5.4L V8, producing 582 hp, the street version being more powerful than the race version (DTM race cars are limited to 500 hp).

The DTM can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.8 second and will do 322 km/h. Top speed is limited electronically because of the danger of bursting tires at higher speeds.

The DTM is very popular with Formula 1 drivers, Juan Pablo Montoya, Mika Hakkinen, Kimi Raikkonen and Jenson Button all own a CLK DTM.

This particular car has 747 km on board.
