Full description

The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS has completed the 20.8-kilometre Nordschleife of the Nürburgring in 6:49.328 minutes – 10.6 seconds faster than the current 911 GT3. Behind the wheel was Porsche brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister, who was in-tensely involved in the development of the new flagship of the 911 series.

The 911 (992) GT3 RS was announced in August 2022. It features a dramatically improved aerodynamic profile compared to the GT3, resulting in 860 kg (1,900 lb) of downforce at 285 km/h (177 mph), a two-fold increase over the 991.2 GT3 RS, and 409 kg (902 lb) of downforce at 200 km/h (120 mph). The rear wing features a static portion and an active portion, which can open and close automatically based on vehicle data, or manually with a button fitted to the steering wheel inspired by Formula 1's Drag Reduction Systems (DRS).

Its naturally aspirated flat-six engine produces 386 kW (525 PS) at 8500 rpm and 465 Nm of torque at 6300 rpm. The car has a redline of 9000 rpm. The kerb weight of the car is 1450 kg, and it's capable of achieving 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, and 200 km/h in 10.6 seconds. The top speed stated by Porsche is 296 km/h.

While most modern Porsches include three driving modes—Normal, Sport, and Track—through the steering wheel-mounted rotary dial, the GT3 RS goes a few steps further. This is the only Porsche on sale that lets you adjust the front and rear axles’ rebound and compression damping settings separately and in eight stages (-4 to +4). There’s also an adjustable rear differential controlled via an additional rotary dial on the steering wheel.

The interior is just as track-focused as the exterior, with standard-fit carbon bucket seats, a six-point racing harness for the driver and passenger, plenty of carbon fibre, Race-Tex (Porsche’s version of Alcantara), and a fire extinguisher to the passenger footwell.
