Full description

The Rolls-Royce Phantom VI model has been built between 1968 and 1990. It was also the last Rolls-Royce to use separate body and chassis. Only 374 cars were ever made, most were limousines by Mulliner Park Ward, also a few landaulets were built and two convertibles, both by coachbuilder Frua of Italy.

Design of a Phantom VII based in the Silver Shadow’s body was discussed in the 1970s, but plans were scrapped. No additional prototypes were built.

Two of the Phantom VI limousines found their way into the service of Queen Elizabeth the Second. One was a special 1977 “Silver Jubilee Car”, presented to the Queen to celebrate her 25th anniversary on the throne. The second was a more conventional 1986 model. The Silver Jubilee car was retired only in year 2002. Kate Middleton has also chose to ride Queen’s classic Rolls Royce Phantom VI to the church for her wedding with Prince William, in 2011.

At least one Phantom was built by special order of the Sultan of Brunei in 1995. Even though the car resembled a Phantom VI, it was named Rolls Royce Phantom V Limousine.

This limousine presented by Tiriac Collction was built by Mulliner Park Ward, now a division of Rolls Royce, and is equipped with electric windows, electric rear seat, black and white television, separate FM radio for front and rear compartments, separate air conditioning for front and rear compartments, a drinks cabinet and an intercom and telephone system.

Owned at some point by a former princess from the Middle East, it still includes the radio station and transmissions used by police.

The Tiriac Collection is the only current gallery that features all 7 Phantom models of the I-VII series.

This particular car has travelled 9,906 miles.
